So what are these championships all about then? Well ScotHot Scottish Hospitality had this to say:
“Over the years the Scottish Culinary Championships and the World Culinary
Grand Prix have established themselves as amongst the most prestigious,
world renowned platforms for chefs to present their skills to their peers.
Hundreds of chefs from all parts of the world will converge on Glasgow in
March 2009, keen to display their skills and determined to be winners.”
9 of the world’s nations will show their culinary talents in the KNORR World Culinary Grand Prix where each one hope to win the KNORR world trophy. This will include the Studio Kitchens, Cold Buffet and Restaurant of Nations.
3 new competitions have been added to the Scottish Culinary Championships to recognise banqueting, contract caterers and chefs in Scottish pubs. There will also be a Live Competition Theatre.
Closing date for entries is 7th November 2008
